What happens after the contract, and the terms that apply when you buy from us.
After the contract – how we deliver
- Stock goods are picked and prepared for loading. Allow about five working days from call-off until the lorry can be loaded, provided the goods are in stock and available.
- Contract goods are prepared straight from the grading line according to the production plan and the delivery week we have agreed. We need call-offs and loading instructions no later than 14 days before the delivery week.
- Lorries and loads. A trailer takes about 12 packages, 45–50 m³; Swedish lorries 55–65 m³. Full lorries give the lowest freight cost per m³, and the maximum load weight is never exceeded – so the exact volume per lorry depends on size and moisture content. The volume per delivery may vary by up to 10% from the agreed quantity; we always deliver full packages.
- Transport. Under DAP we book the lorry. Under FCA you collect – follow the drivers page and the hours on collection and loading.
- Invoice is issued at loading, payment according to the contract.
Terms in brief
- Contract. Every deal is confirmed with a contract under the Swedish Wood standard conditions – Softwood Contract 2015 for export and SVEA 2024 in Sweden – signed digitally before the goods are reserved.
- Minimum order. One full truck when we arrange the transport. If you collect, smaller volumes can be loaded by agreement.
- Delivery terms per Incoterms 2020: FCA Svärdsjö or DAP within Europe; sea freight by agreement.
- Price and payment. Price in SEK per m³ as standard; EUR, GBP or USD by agreement. Payment terms according to the contract – for new customers often prepayment or a confirmed letter of credit until a credit limit is in place. Title is retained until full payment.
- Quality. Grading according to Commercial Grading of Timber (Swedish Wood), moisture content according to EN 14298. Quality is agreed per grade; you judge which grade suits your purpose.
- Certification. PEFC or FSC® certified goods on request – let us know before we set the price. ISPM 15 marking for export outside the EU.
If something is not right
Should a delivery deviate from what we agreed, we want to know straight away. Write to sales@bodasag.se as soon as the goods are unloaded, within the time limits in the contract, with contract number, package numbers, photos and what deviates. Keep the goods dry and the packages unbroken until we have replied. We assess the batch according to the grading rules, get back to you and resolve it together with you. Payment continues according to the contract while we investigate.
